Access Creative National Award: Best Game Design/Development Project

Winner for the 2021 Access Creative National Award for my game mechanic prototype Mining Pets’, created in Unreal Engine. This was a work experience project with Into Games, where we were briefed by Jagex with the task of designing a new take on an existing mining mechanic.

As part of this process, I primarily took on the producer and Technical Designer/Developer roles and was responsible for building the agreed and scoped out concept. At the end of the week, I had the opportunity to present our finished concept and working prototype.

The project was really well received by the industry professionals in attendance who were taken by the originality of the idea and execution of the working prototype. This project is a great example of my ability to take the lead and work in a team of new people who in this case were senior second-year students.
